Mrs Sophia Corpas, Head of Sixth Form.

‘I am excited to be Head of Sixth Form at Fidelis College, rooted in the Catholic traditions of The Laurels, The Cedars and Oakwood. With over a decade in education, I am passionate about teaching, pastoral care, and character development. I look forward to helping create a Sixth Form where intellect, virtue, and ambition thrive!

At Fidelis College Sixth Form, we are building something remarkable:

  • Outstanding teaching where every student is known and stretched.
  • Tutorial support focused on academic, personal and professional growth.
  • Specialist pathways in Medicine, Engineering & Entrepreneurship.
  • Oxbridge and Russell Group preparation.
  • Student-led community outreach.
  • Pastoral care rooted in dignity, resilience and purpose.

All in a place where students dream big, grow deep, and aim high!

A Level Courses

We offer 21 A Level subjects alongside the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).

At the start of the Lower Sixth, all pupils begin with four A Level subjects, though most reduce to three after a few weeks. This approach provides an “insurance policy,” giving students the flexibility to change if a subject proves too challenging or not what they expected.

Students wishing to take Further Mathematics must also study Mathematics A Level, plus two additional subjects, throughout the Lower Sixth. After the Lower Sixth examinations, pupils achieving at least a secure Grade C in Further Mathematics may drop their fourth subject at the start of Upper Sixth, enabling them to focus on achieving the best results in their remaining three.

All pupils are strongly encouraged to complete an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). This can either be undertaken steadily from the start of the Lower Sixth until November of Upper Sixth, or more intensively from the end of Lower Sixth through the summer holidays.
